Having painted cityscapes in Barcelona (I used to set-up my easel in the market, on Las Ramblas...almost anywhere), recently, I have re-engaged with landscapes-sea, urban and green life with a semi-abstract approach. However, the paintings are still clearly representative and as with all my work, emotive content is important. Seeing the sea for the first time aged 8, became an immediate love affair. Since then, in my adult life, I have always chosen to live by the sea and painted several seascapes. I pursue a certain light and intensity of colour and make many colour notes to aid my explorations, decisions and responses.
